The Ex-Proof bag jet pulse filter is a special filter system designed for safe dust control in environments with explosive gases or dusts in industrial plants. Some of the dusts used in industrial processes (aluminium, magnesium, sugar, corn starch, coal, charcoal, polypropylene, polyethylene, lactose, sulphur, etc.) are explosive. When collecting and filtering such explosive dusts, specially designed Ex-Proof Jet Pulse Filters are used in accordance with the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. The “Ex-Proof” design of this filter indicates that it has been designed according to special protection and safety standards so that it can be used safely in potentially explosive atmospheres.
According to NFBA 68, explosive dusts are combustible solid particles, regardless of their size or shape, which are suspended in air or in an oxidising medium and present a risk of flame or explosion.
Petrochemical industry:
