In many production plants, especially in foundries and steelworks, sparks are generated as a result of the process. Sparks in exhaust systems pose a risk to flammable explosive dust and other equipment. Spark protection systems are an important part of fire and explosion protection systems, but are not a final solution. It is recommended that they are used to support spark detection and extinguishing systems.
The turbulence is generated by a special blade structure and baffle plates in the spark arrestor cyclone. During turbulence, the heat of the sparks decreases as their speed decreases.
To ensure that the spark arresters, which are manufactured in the required pipe diameters, work efficiently, they must be installed at least twice the diameter horizontally away from the spark source. The distance between the spark arrester and the dust collection system must be at least ten times the diameter of the spark arrester.
